Officials in Fowlerville are reviewing an ordinance that currently bans the possession of weapons in public places after a complaint from a national pro-gun group, according to Village President Pro Tem Dennis Kuehn.

The Fowlerville Village Council will consider a change to its current ordinance when it meets at 7 p.m. today at Village Hall, 213 S. Grand Ave.

Green said the gun-free zones don't make sense, considering licensed gun carriers can legally carry their weapons exposed in gun-free zones, but those with licensed concealed weapons cannot.

I'll be going to my gun club meeting around the same time. I'm not happy about how they cancelled the OC seminar.
