Officials in Fowlerville are reviewing an ordinance that currently bans the possession of weapons in public places after a complaint from a national pro-gun group, according to Village President Pro Tem Dennis Kuehn. The Fowlerville Village Council will consider a change to its current ordinance when it meets at 7 p.m. today at Village Hall, 213 S. Grand Ave.Green said the gun-free zones don't make sense, considering licensed gun carriers can legally carry their weapons exposed in gun-free zones, but those with licensed concealed weapons cannot.
