WHoa!   That's pretty crazy.  It's a shame the verbal warnings didn't disuade the guy from being forced into defending himself.  Glad the dumb-dumb didn't die, even though it's clear he's a piece of crap.  Maybe he will straighten his ways.  I think it will be easier on the CPL guy knowing that his actions were justified and the guy didn't croak.

The Victim was the guy filling up his car with gas, He had a Carry permit, his gun was in HIS console,while he was being attacked
he was able  to get his Glock out of the console,and shoot one of his attackers.

The victim had a less than lethal weapon at his disposal that could have been more readily deployed. Dousing the perp with gasoline would have instantly made him rethink gaspump robberies as a profession. Furthermore, lethal force could have been subsequently deployed without firing a single gunshot.

I'm guessing the victim hadn't thought about these kind of options before hand.  Either way, the victim came out on top...and that's what matters.

In Ohio...are CPL holders required to have their weapon on "their person" while in a vehicle? i.e. -- not in a glove box, etc... 
I thought I had read this somewhere in regard to Ohio Laws/Regulations.
