hey im a new guy to this forum and im looking to learn more about CC and OC. Im 18 and heading off to college in a few weeks and i've always thought it was a bad idea to allow citizens to carry but now i want a handgun myself haha. Anyways im going to go post a topic with some questions i have about OC seeya!

There are a few things you need to keep in mind:

You cannot purchase a handgun from a store (anyone that has an FFL) until you are 21.  You can, however, purchase via a "private sale" at 18.

Also, without a CPL, there are many places you can get snagged with the laws.  A CPL lets you CC but it also lets you OC in many more places.  The Q gave you some good advice and a link to firearms in your other post.  I would read it, many times over.  IMHO, one needs to be very familiar with the laws before OC - especially without a CPL.  There are just too many ways to end up under arrest.
