No Weapon Signs

Hey all had another question this time it's about your "No weapon Signs." Here in Indiana they don't carry the weight of law and so if your concealing then you usually are just fine unless they see your sidearm. Then it comes down to asking you to leave and all that.

So my question is are your signs the same way, or do they carry the weight of actual law? I am not talking about Gun free zones, just talking about the average store.

If you get asked to leave and you stay -- you're trespassing. Other than that signs have no real weight in law.

I should clarify...there is no particular law giving signs any weight.

The only real exception is laws about so-called "Entertainment Facilities" and notice of their seating capacity (for the purpose of licensed CC)

EX: The fact the movie theater was posted clearly on every entrance "Seating Capacity Exceeds 2500" would probably be used at any trial/hearing to show that you "should have known" the seating capacity.
