Abbreviations/Acronyms

This thread is for common abbreviations/acronyms. Any moderator should feel free to edit this OP. Let's try to keep things in alphabetical order. Any forum member can reply with a new acronym.

CC - Concealed Carry
CEZ - Criminal Empowerment Zone, AKA Pistol Free Zones
CPL - Concealed Pistol License
EDC - Every day carry
FFL - Federal Firearm License/Federal Firearm Licensed Dealer
FIFY - Fixed It For You
FTE - Fail To Eject
FTF - Fail To Feed
FUD - Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt
FWIW - For What It's Worth
GFZ - Gun Free Zone (See MCL 750.234d)
HB - House Bill (followed by a number)
IANAL - I am not a lawyer
IHOC - In hand open carry
IIRC - If I Recall Correctly
IMO - In My Opinion
IWB - Inside the waist band
LEO - Law Enforcement Officer
LGOC - Long gun open carry
MCL - Michigan Compiled Laws
MCRGO - Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners
MGO - Michigan Gun Owners
MSP - Michigan State Police
ND - Negligent discharge
OC - Open Carry
OWB - Outside the waistband
OP - Original Post or Original Poster (depends on context)
QFT - Quoted For Truth
PA - Public Act
PFZ - Pistol Free Zone (See MCL 28.458o) Also refereed to as cPFZ concealed PFZ
SB - Senate Bill (Followed by a number)

CEZ - Criminal Empowerment Zone; similar to GFZ and PFZ, but can be just because of a sign on private property. An older term, but still occasionally used by people who have frequented the various Michigan boards for a long time.

RKBA -  Right to keep and bear arms
RKBCA - Right to keep and bear concealed arms... see FUDD

Additional decription of fudd - Slang term for a "casual" gun owner; eg; a person who typically only owns guns for hunting or shotgun sports and does not truly believe in the true premise of the second amendment.
