here is a challenge for fun,
can anyone find laws that specifically states that you cannot transport a
pistol in a motor vehicle or vehicle? (reference and quotes would be nice)
for example, in the passenger compartment loaded and such. MDOT law as far as i can tell the law does say you can transport anyway you wish with a
pistol. Is there any broad sweeping laws saying that ammo and
pistol must be separated that i missed? the MDOT law is the one i grew up on and always has been the general habit to keep guns and ammo separate but am starting to think this is not the case with
pistol in or around a transport of any kind with the information age that we are in today. not many back then wandered down to the courthouse to check the law books to see what they said. Back then though we never really had pistols for hunting so i suppose this is a whole new ball game.
