Have you ever had anyone ask you that, or seen anyone ask that on a forum?  But you already know the answer.

Study finds hospital shootings are unpredictable

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Hospital shootings are very hard to predict, according to a new analysis of shootings over the past decade.

Between 2000 and 2011, there were 154 hospital-related shootings in the United States, with 235 people getting injured or dying as a result.

If I were ever to get shot, getting shot in the hospital would probably be my #1 choice of places....       ;) ;D

When I was LEO in SC we couldn't even carry our weapons past security!  I was also an EMT at the same time and the only time I ever carried inside the hospital was one time I was on the stretcher actively doing CPR on a patient as we moved from the truck into the ER.  As soon as the ER staff took custody of the patient and told me to discontinue CPR, there were two guards there to escort me back out.
