Polite Dismissal??
« on: October 19, 2012, 12:14:04 PM »
Here is a copy of the email I recieved from Gov. Snyder's office this morning.

What do you guys read into this response?

*Disclaimer- I have absolutely bugged the crap outta his office about blocking SB59, his involvement with MSP, and listening to the people who voted him into office. Emails/Phone calls everyday at least once a day. Twice on Thursdays as they are my days to call my SEN, Randy, and Snyder. ;D ;D ;D

Dear bagz013,

Thank you for your recent correspondence.  I am working to resolve this matter and wanted to provide you with a quick update.

Your inquiry requires additional research and assistance.  Therefore, I have contacted the appropriate state officials who will actively review your correspondence.

Appropriate officials will be in touch in the near future.  Please do not hesitate to contact this office by telephone at 517-335-7858 if there is anything I can be doing for you in the interim.

Thank you,

I just talked to Laura myself. Here the gist of what I was *told* (to the extent you can believe what a politician or their aid tells you):

"The governor has no official position on SB 59 and won't form one until it reaches its final stages of passage. In an effort to bring constituents of MI together" (read: "please everyone") rather than "polarize them and tear them apart" he won't make any public statements on concepts for bills, such as PFZ repeal or relaxation."

"The Governor's focus is on rebuilding Michigan via jobs, the economy, and children. He isn't involved much in 'Social Issues' (guns, right to life, right to work, etc.)"

As Governor he should be concerned with ALL issues, not be able to pick and choose the ones he wants (read: score him the most points). I made calls too, was added to the list at the traitor Richardville's offce, and was told by the Governors office that he is working with the Senate and House on these issues. Yea he is talking, he is saying "don't move on them". A$$hat!

Kinda what I thought but wanted to get a more rounded opinion.

Don't think I've ever spoken to Laura...sounds like she might have at least a little people skills. Not many people seem to care in the political aid line of work.

I'm not joking.  You are now a "person of interest."

I'm sure I am.

Guess I'll find out if I get pulled over how high up the list I am.

Bronson could be right or he may need to loosen his aluminum foil hat.

I must certainly be a "person of interest".

Type connected to old mainframe or unix box. Every other line is green/white on the paper.

At SVSU, if you send a bell character to their printers (character 7 - 00000111) it beeps. The IT ppl there apparently have no idea how to clear a failed job out of the queue, and they charge you w/ a felony.

Ha, nice. I've pulled my share of those gags in my day. That's a new one though. I did a similar one while up at MTU. Set up a script that caused a beep when you pinged a certain port on the Math Lab server.  (They shouldn't let underclassmen play around with those machines....)  Then found out a way for the stations to all echo the beep. Great fun (especially since I wasn't a Math Major, but a CS - I shouldn't have even had access to that lab...)

Didn't know they had a Meth lab at MTU. Makes sense, subsidize university income. Feds ok with that?
