Maybe they wouldn't have to raise funds if they didn't blow them on legal battles they have no business fighting.

Guns don't have rights- humans do. Correctly put, they spent $77,000 fighting against HUMAN rights, and they're lining up to spend more. They've already committed $10,000 more, and are asking other libraries to ante up, as well. Do they really need more taxpayers hard earned money to waste?
Its not GUN rights, its HUMAN rights.

That $10,000 is just to file the brief with the Michigan Supreme Court. It could cost an additional $75,000 if the court decides to hear the case. If CADL didn't keep filing frivolous lawsuits to fight Civil Rights that are clearly protected by Michigan's pre-emption laws, they'd have more than enough to care for the infrastructure of their libraries.
