I carry a gun because a Police Officer is too heavy.

Happy New Year MOC

The right of citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard, against the tyranny which now appears remote in America but which historically has proven to be always possible. Hubert H. Humphrey, Senator, Vice President, 22 October 1959

Happy New Year to all here!

Any New Year's resolutions?  I never make them, but this year I am.   I am resolved to take some professional firearms training in 2013. At least one or two handgun classes, but also considering at least one carbine class.  I am looking strongly at MDFI right now, Handgun I and II and at least Carbine I.

Even though the Michigan pistol goes away, there are plenty of other rifle-caliber pistols available.  There are AR15 pistols for 5.56 NATO and Dracos for 7.62x39 ComBloc and similar.

I still have mine.

ETA: Opps. I forgot they were all lost in that tragic boating accident I had last winter while ice fishing.

Oh well....
