Cabela's NRA weekend
« on: December 07, 2012, 01:56:16 PM »
Ok, the dates for the NRA weekend at Cabela's in Dundee are Saturday Feb 9th from 8am to 9pm and Sunday the 10th from 10am to 6pm. We will have a table again this year so we need volunteers to help man it. I should be available for most, if not all, of it however we still need more people. We are asking for people to volunteer for 4 hour shifts or longer if they desire. We would prefer to have 2 people there at all times if possible.

Additionally we are trying to coordinate a seminar during the weekend as well. More on that as we get it. Thanks to Pat for helping with this endeavor.

MOC gets quite a bit of exposure from participating in this event with Cabelas. Even if you can't volunteer for a whole shift of 4 hours, your help would still be appreciated. Any MOC member can do this. There isn't anything special to do. In the past, I have found that most people just want to chat about OC in general. PM Ezerharden or me for details on how you can help out.

I'm in for an 8 hour shift.  I'll do the seminar if we get a slot (Or Rob Harris can do it, if he'd like -- he does it better!)

Well I am still working on getting a seminar that weekend. Have to call Monday to discuss it with the person in charge of those things.

You just did. Thanks!

Send a Private Message (PM) to Ezerharden (Mike) letting him know what your desired time to assist would be. He's working out a schedule. And since this is a family event, don't forget to bring yours.

Talked to Cabela's and they are waiting for the NRA events that were scheduled to be forwarded to them. That is being finalized this week. I was asked to call back again next week, after Christmas to see about our seminar. I am hoping I will have some information for the Board at the membership meeting. Hopefully a time slot  ;D

Not sure what "FIFY" actually means lol. However as to being close to the main event, I am working to have it that weekend. Do you have any preference to a day or time? If so, plese tell me so I can take that into consideration when I talk to them again.

"Fixed it For You"

As far as best time, the best time is the closest available time to the NRA's biggest event/presentation.

If Wayne L has a speech scheduled 2p-3p on Saturday, I'd ideally want 3p-4p on Saturday!
