Should polls be modified?
« on: December 09, 2012, 07:56:28 PM »
Should poll questions be allowed to be modified in the midst of polling in  order to make the poll results fit the desire of the pollster?

That all depends on whether or not the question is ambiguous. There is no ambiguity in your poll, but it shows a definite adolescent temper-tantrum quality to it.

Adolescent? Yes.
Temper tantrum quality? No.

Adolescent? Yes.
Temper tantrum quality? No.

I think Pat was mimicking the tactics of CrossPistol's poll.

That answers that. While the vote was close, the No votes won it by a landslide.

  I didn't change the poll from it's original form.  Someone else changed it with out my permission.

  I didn't change the poll from it's original form.  Someone else changed it with out my permission.

The original question didn't make sense.

It was:

Should MOC split into two groups:

* Michigan Open Carry
* Michigan Coalition for Responsible Concealed Carry

I changed it to a question that made sense that people could meaningfully answer, I reset the vote count when I changed it.

Next time, I'll be happy to simply lock polls that don't make sense ;)
