OC in School question
« on: December 19, 2012, 05:10:37 PM »
OK, I have never open carried before, and now I think it is time.  I want to carry at my kids school, it is a Middle/High school with about 700 kids.  Now I know that this will probably draw some attention and I am sure that the police probably will be called, my question is.  If they ask me to leave legally what can they charge me with?  Is it just criminal tresspass, and if it is do they have a leg to stand on for prosecution if the only reason they are asking me to leave it because I am wearing a weapon?

They can charge you with anything they want. If it sticks is another question. I am not a lawyer but the CADL vs MOC case may play a role. If the police were called and I was told to leave I would and file a lawsuit. Most likely I would win. It seems with the recent veto even Snyder knows that public schools can not ban guns. Either way, have a voice and video recorder and a lawyer's card on you.
Common sense, isn't.
I can't fix stupid.

I could write something cliché and insightful, but that would be too cliché and insightful.
