I have seen this brought up on quite a few gun forums. I guess we will see how the organizing goes after O-bummer gives his ruling tomorrow.

I realize that if people talked like that it would be flagged and they would do something about it before it got to big. But what are we to do, bend over and take it? For how long? How far is to far? This muslim dicktator in charge needs to be stopped but I guess I dont know a way without looking like a looney and getting throwin in the clink. Boy it would have been nice if us gun owners could have gotten on the same page and did something about him in the last election (not pointing at anybody but thinking of the whole group). Divided we have fallen.

The biggest difference we can make is to get out and vote... get family and friends to vote. Also would be nice to promote voter education so we don't have a mass of uninformed voters next time.

I can understand why people are upset at recent events. And IF (and only IF), laws are changed, should outrage errupt. But seriously, nothing has happened yet but a bunch of talk and "would-like-to-dos". Sure HE is talking about doing some outrageous things, but all it is right now is talk, and talk is cheap. People need to take a step back and relax just a little. Besides, if he does go through with anything, there's really nothing you can do about it. So while everyone is freaking out about what might happen, why don't you stop and think about the process of passing such restrictions and the steps that must be take before, during, and after. Just because HE wants something to happen doesn't mean jack s**t. There are two other branches of the government that must agree with any such actions (and for those who forgot their middle school government lessons: THAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING SEPARATION OF POWERS!).

And for those who insist on referring to HIM as Muslim and/or a dictator or even a socialist. Your ignorance is showing, and that is something best kept in private.

That's a good point. I have been reading the Articles which give the president executive powers. I posted a question in the Ask a Firearms attorney forum to help clarify this. Hopefully I am correctly reading these and that we still have time. And I would hope that our Governor and the sheriffs in this state would take action such as those in the states of Texas, Idaho, and Wyoming. Also from what I have been reading sheriffs have extrordinary powers to defy the federal government. I think it would be best that this site as well as other sites as this start becoming very friendly to our local sheriffs because we are going to need their help with this and we need them to side with us. And they, the sheriff, may eventually need us by deputizing us. Any thoughts?
