Kinda late but I just thought I should share. Gander mountain in Lansing had big value boxes of 9, 40, 45, and 380. This was at 4 this afternoon and they had quite a few.

Sounds good, I will throw you an extra hundred. G17.

Wish I could but I can't take advantage of something like that. Check duncan's in bay city they have some Glocks in stock as of a few days ago.
Common sense, isn't.
I can't fix stupid.

Sorry I waited so long to spread the word. They had a lot when I was there but they were selling like hot cakes. Wasn't to high priced ($99 for 350 9mm) like I have seen other stores go to ( $20 for 100 mini mag :( ).

I understand I was just kidding. I was able to get one without using to much lube. And now with my find at gander I have 1050 9mm rounds begging me to set them free. Gonna have to go visit ranger Rick tomorrow.

XM193 or XM855? Loose in box? Or on stripper clips in bandoliers & ammo cans?

I saw someone mention it in a post online.  I don't remember if they said, and I didn't go the ad to see because the only ammo I'm looking for now is 5.7x28.

I think it was this:

http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=AFED223XM855CS&name=Federal+5.56x45+(.223)+M855+62grn+Green+Tip+1000rd+Case&groupid=21

Lake City bulk XM855, $449.50

Today oc'd at walmart in livonia had fun no ammo walked around no body said a word to me about it my 1st time at walmart oc'ing

Walmart's corporate policy is that they follow state law and for the time being they won't be selling any more ammo when they run out. I work at one and asked our asst. mgr about it.

That is too bad because ammo was the only reason I would go into a Walmart. Of course once I was in there there usually were other thing purchased.

About 2 weeks ago a female ass Mgr at the southgate store said they not going to raise prices or have any changes with ammo (they do not sell guns on this area).
She said they had a recent conference call with corporate and that is what they were told.

She said they had 3 places they get ammo from and one or two (i forget which she said) supply Wal-Mart only.

Walmart in Muskegon on Henry still Carries ammo, limited selection do to the rapid sales, but they do restock. I was told one night though, after i got out of work at 11pm that they don't sell after 10pm. Don't know why and this was before the crazy crap that happened last year. Hmmm, maybe they are to lazy to unlock cabinet, it was even the manager i spoke too.

They don't sell after 10pm because (at least in my store) there are only a limited amt of people that can sell in that dept. More than likely it's company policy. If it's locked in a cabinet then it has to be paid for in sporting goods, if it's off the open shelf then they can pay for it up front at the registers.

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with laziness, Jac. probably just as cherper said. After 10PM the department counter is not manned (or even womanned) for restricted product sales. I'd even venture a guess that you wouldn't be able to purchase a hunting license, ORV license, or fishing license either.

video games kind of falls under restricted sales as well. No one is at the counter in the late evening early morning and they have no problem coming to unlock the game and get me anything I want. Since normally I would have to pay for it there and the registers are shutdown, they escort me to the front of the store to pay.

And, just a couple days prior, a coworker of mine purchased 420 rnds in an ammo can with not the slightest issue at around 11:30 pm. More or less, they are really inconsistent on how they treat these situations.

Never tried getting a license, not really a hunter or fisher. Suppose I should try and see what they say.

Now, Meijer is a similar situation but they will sell me ammo all hours of the night, at least any time I have been there.

Just surprised I suppose..but hey, nothing I can really do about it anyways right?

The only way to change that sort of policy is to no longer shop there. If enough sales were to be lost, they would change their policy.
Since gun owners vote for anti gun people, promote using anti gun search engines and a few other bad things I wouldn't hold my breath on people not shopping there.

Sorry to chime in late.

In the past month I have purchased about 6 boxes of 40 cal at the store I work at. Since I know the management they let me know when we get our shipments it. We get ours every Friday and sometimes on Tue depending on if its a holiday week or what not. A group of 4 guys come into the store every morning at 5 A.M and buy anything that is in the case. No joke. I am not sure if they are hoarding, reselling, or actually use the ammo but from what I hear they do this at the other stores as well. These are the people that make it impossible for others to even get a single box. I know it is their right but if it weren't for me working there I would never get a chance at any ammo.

As soon as people stop paying "anything" to buy ammo from these jokers, they'll stop buying it.

This morning at the store I work at we got an unusual ammount of ammo in. About 2 cases of various rounds from .357 to 9mm. So about 120 boxes or so of ammo. I snagged one box of 40 cal as they were being loaded in the case. Sure enoph the same group of guys came in at the usual time and bought all 120 boxes. Out of sheer curiosity I asked them if they did a lot of target practice and the response was " hell no, we sell it to idiots for twice what it costs at our shop. I am Hoping  for more scares, I'm making a fortune"

I was at first surprised but then I got to thinking... If people pay it why not? It's sad they are hoarding and reselling but at the same time they have a good idea going and are feeding off people who don't care about cost.

I hope things calm down soon.
