Recent CPL in Ottawa county
« on: February 07, 2013, 01:01:22 AM »
I plan on turning in my paperwork this week and wondered if anyone has recently got their cpl in Ottawa county.  What was the wait time?
I could write something cliché and insightful, but that would be too cliché and insightful.

They told me 6-8 weeks for background checks.  The review board meets the first Thursday of the month.

Awesome. You have to go in front of gun board?  How was it?  I'm a little nervous. Turned in my paperwork yesterday...

I've been in front of the Ingham County Gun Board like six times.  Well, maybe four.  Don't sweat it.

ummmm gun board? Question if I may. Does each county have their own way with CPL? I'm in Newaygo County and I took the class and in 6 weeks received  notice in the mail to come to clerks office and pick up my CPL. Thx 4 any replys.  8)

I believe some counties force new applicants to appear so they can see them to make sure they are not like the slingblade guy.

When we went to the Kent County board a few years ago they just asked the same questions as on the written questionnaire.    No problems but we look like nice grand parents.   :)

What seemed strange to me is they had us both come in at the same time.  Not a problem on our part but if there was some type of abuse in our relationship - which is important per the questions - how would they find out?
