Biden to take gun questions from Field & Stream

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/biden-gun-questions-field-stream-170822556--politics.html my question:

+++++

From: Dan Griffin
To: askbiden@fieldandstream.com
Subject: Home defense

If the police deem it appropriate to use AR15’s in home defense situations, why do you think it should be sufficient, and why should a homeowner be limited to, a shotgun with one, two, or five rounds? Especially since the 5.56 NATO/.223 round has been shown to be ballistically safer in a home than a shotgun?

Depends on what shotgun ammo and 5.56 you are using.  It's been shown several times that 00 buck will penetrate far more than 5.56 HP through interior/exterior house materials.

Again, cite?

I know most 00 will penetrate 19" -- at least mine does.

There was a lengthy thread about this on MGO a while back.

You should check out the Box'O Truth website, they have done lets of penetration tests.

An AR15 is much easier to shoot and manipulate than a shotgun, too. This is especially important for women. I should have worked that into my question.

I doubt my question will make it to Biden, though.

From the Field and Stream comments:

I don't have a question for the White House about guns. I have several arguments for them, but no questions. This is like asking people if they have any questions for Gomer Pyle concerning particle physics.

I've watched the videos where the buck shot penetrated 4 walls and .223 HP went through 2 layers and embedded into the drywall....     if you don't believe it, fine...   I"m don't have the time to dig up the link.... you can google them if you must see proof.
