Michigan Open Carry will be conducting an Open Carry Seminar in Taylor, MI Wednesday February 20th.

Curious about Open Carry? Want to get information about what Open Carry is and an understanding of some of the laws surrounding Open Carry in Michigan?

Maybe you're just curious about Michigan Open Carry, Inc and our mission.

Where:  Gander Mountain
Address:  14100 Pardee Road, Taylor, MI
Time:  7:00PM
Cost:  Free -- OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

These seminars, presented by Michigan Open Carry, are an excellent opportunity to learn about the Open Carry of a handgun in Michigan.

I was there, didn't really see any seminar going on. Saw two people OCing while shopping, that's about it.

Did you know beforehand about the seminar? When were you there? The seminars aren't held in the showroom area of the store. Did you inquire about the seminar with any of the store staff? We would've liked to have had you join us.

Yeah, I've known about it for a while and had a gift card to spend. I was there from probably around 7:05-8:00, shopping around. I just thought nobody showed up so it wasn't on anymore, and dismissed it and went on shopping. Darn.

For future reference the Taylor location has a meeting room on the west wall north of the gun smith counter. The seminars in the past have been in that room.

good to hear! i wanted to make it, having a 1 & 2 year old and a wife that works afternoons makes it so hard for me to get to a lot of events. hopefully this summer i will have some more free time when my wife takes some vacation days.

As Super Trucker noted, all our seminars at Gander Mountain stores are held in their Trophy Room. That is why we hold them there. They provide the meeting place free of charge. And they officially support Michigan Open Carry.

You must have missed the announcement over the public address system just prior to the start of the seminar. They mentioned the location in the store of the meeting.

I will try to remember to include that little tidbit of information in future seminar announcements.
