Partially open carry

If I IWB with my shirt tucked in like normal behind my IWB with the grip and top half showing then it would be considered OC and not CC right?.
Or dose it have to be completely exposed for OC.
This question is for open carry only and I understand completely covered for CC.
This was a little hard to explain so I hope I got it right.
I like wearing mime this way and I don't want to completely OC.

It's a gray area and people have been charged with Felony CCW for IWB OC.

Our recommendation is to use a fully outside the waistband active retention holster for purposes of OC.

The Q's answer needs a little elaboration.

If I didn't have a CPL, I would refrain from any IWB whatsoever, for the reason he stated.

I also like to oftentimes carry one of my many my stainless1911 pistols "mexican". But because of the problem associated with this possibly being considered "concealed carry", I have a holster in my vehicle got use whenever I want to open carry in a "Concealed Pistol Free Zone".

Otherwise, with a CPL, it doesn't matter how much of the pistol is showing or is concealed.

I get my CPL next Friday the 19th.
So as long as I am not in a PFZ I should be ok because that is OC/CC area. but if I enter PFZ then I'd have to open carry outside rather than IWB .
Think I got that right.

The safest way to remember is to consider exposed  IWB Carry, concealed carry.

Is there any case law on this? We may a volunteer if he doesnt reread pats post before he carrys today. Dont worry Donut the people on MOC know some very good lawyers.

There is no binding case law. People have been charged with CCW for carrying thusly, but they plead out.
