Brady Campaign board member buys a gun
« on: June 16, 2013, 03:05:51 PM »
Heidi Yewman, board member of the Brady Campaign, gets a carry permit, buys a gun, and purposely starts carrying it while being absolutely petrified of it and with no knowledge of how to handle it. Then she starts writing about her experience to demonstrate how horrible it is that people should be allowed to have guns. The fail is strong with this one.

I can't even bring myself to read it.  It'll just piss me off and ruin my day.

Wow. She did not even take a safety class, or any class on how to use her gun. It does not say what state, but she paid $56.xx and got fingerprinted and gets a carry permit.
The person who sold her the gun did not seem to suggest a class, but did mention that Glocks don't have a traditional safety, so she freaked when she got home and the magazine was in the gun. She drives around until she finds a police officer and gets him to check and see if the gun is loaded. The officer has the same gun and likes it, and does suggest she take a class.
All the comments from responsible gun owners say, "take a class", so all the anti-gunners say, "then why don't we require a class first, before you can buy a gun?"
So she has this gun on her hip and comments that she is just sitting there next to small children.
Is the gun even loaded?
Is her gun possessed and telling her to shoot children?
I think her point is how easy it is to buy a gun, and some anti-gunners seem to think there was no background check.
How is that different from buying any tool and not knowing how to use it?
