Do you need to be a "member" to be allowed to add an avatar so that people can see it when you post?  If not, is there a magic number of posts you need before it unlocks the ability to add in an avatar?

I see people with avatar pictures that have less than 10 posts and are not members so I am confused with the requirements to be allowed to have an avatar.

Even people with pictures do not know?  I have been through every option and don't see anything.

Profile -> Forum Profile -> Personalized Picture

See "Forums Home" in orange with white lettering in the upper left. Go right from there to fine Profile.

Hope that helps.

Profile -> Forum Profile -> Personalize Picture:

* Choose avatar from gallery
* Specify avatar by URL
* Upload an avatar

I've researched the Forum permissions.  It looks like we have this configured to be one of the (albeit small) perks of paid membership.

HTH.

Fair enough, although I see people with pictures that do not bear the MOC member tag.

Maybe they once were and have since expired?
