Fundraiser day - Woodhaven - 8-6-13
« on: May 19, 2013, 01:35:59 PM »
When:  Tuesday, August 6th, 2013
Where: Stevi B's Pizza Buffet, 19135 West Road, Woodhaven, MI 48183
What Time:  11:00 AM through 9:00 PM

This is going to be a fundraiser for Michigan Open Carry.  Tell all your friends and family, co-workers, etc.  All they have to do is go to Stevi B's any time between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM on August 6th, tell them when you pay that you are supporting Michigan Open Carry and 17% of the profits from their meals will be donated to Michigam Open Carry.  This also applies to carry out. Come one come all.  Bring friends etc.  This should be a fun event and a real good opportunity to get the word out there.

This fundraiser day will also have an Open Carry dinner at the same location. The dinner is at 7PM, hope to see you all there.

I hope this doesn't sound too stupid but what is the difference between a fund raiser and a dinner at the same place?  As you may have figured I not attended any yet but would like to attend.

Fundraiser dinners are where the venue donates a portion of their profit on the days meals to MOC.

Correct, however I would like to point out that you must tell them you are there supporting Michigan Open Carry when you pay, that way the tally that sale to the fundraiser.

I don’t think I explained myself.   Ezerharden says, "This fundraiser day will also have an Open Carry dinner at the same location. The dinner is at 7PM, hope to see you all there."  OK, I will try again.  We have a 'fundraiser day' from 11am to 9pm and an 'Open Carry dinner’ at 7pm.   I am wondering which is more meaningful to attend, my guess is the dinner.  Am I right, is there something significant about the dinner?

Norm 7:00 pm is when MOC leadership will be in attendance however as not everyone can attend at that time and would still like to help we set these up so the fundraiser portion runs all day.

Precisely. Some one may not be able to make the dinner, but may be in the area for lunch. So they can go to lunch and support MOC.

Well we have a dinner just down the street from this one on August 15th. It's at the IHOP on West Road. Maybe you can make that one.
