Although its extremely rare. It does happen. However it will not deter me from my prefered carry method. I only post this in hopes that folks take retention training seriously.

I was just about to update that fact in case it wasn't known. Thanks for clearing that up for me. The 2 things that stand out to me aside from retention training are. 1. Do not chase bad guy who stole your gun. 2. Carry a BUG when possible.

3. USE A G** D*** ACTIVE RETENTION HOLSTER
4. Stay aware of your surroundings.

Yes an active retention holster is a must. I guess some of the obvious is still necessary to those new to OC. Also SA is a HUGE one that is well deserved on the list. I just hope that the story and our comments helps others to do the right things.
