History of Michigan Concealed Pistol Laws

I'm looking for a history of Michigan's concealed pistol laws, specifically the wording of the statues as they were amended and hopefully why they were adopted/amended.

Anyone have any ideas where to look?

From some of the research I've done it appears a lot of the pistol laws were adopted in the 1920's following an incident where a Doctor named Ossian Sweet defended his home from a white lynch mob.

The bottom line is the timeline fits and the irony is the "progressives" who are supporting these laws today are upholding laws that are founded in racism. There really were not any firearms laws on the books prior to this incident, and if you look at the county nature of firearms laws in Michigan compared to the historical context, it's clear the state legislature was trying to keep firearms out of the hands of people in a very subjective manor (minorities). With these laws being based in racial policies of the 1920's there is no reason for them to remain on the books today.
