In home child daycare legalities.

My wife and I operate a child daycare and I am wondering if, as an owner of the property (which is our dwelling as well) and business, I am required to open carry my pistol, since I have a cpl, or if I have the right, since it is my dwelling property, to conceal carry?

Since it is both your property and your business, you can OC or CC as you desire. The CC restriction is for anyone who is not your family who live there or any employees you allow to carry on the job.

Outside of day care hours, I would think standard private property rules apply.

I wonder if you can give permission for non-employees to CC in your business like any other business? I would think yes. But I don't recall if the law gives the out for day care like it does for churches.

Churches is the only item in 28.425o that provides an exception with permission for non-employees.

There may be daycare regulations by the daycare regulatory agency about business owners having guns on the premises?

I'm not a daycare law specialist though.

Mmmmm.. this is a tricky one.. Did you get some sort of license to operate this daycare? if so, you should check through the policies that you withhold pertaining to firearms. Other than that, I'd have to agree with FASBOLD entirely
