Capital Incident
« on: October 03, 2013, 05:48:43 PM »
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/03/uscapitol-lockdown/2916679/

It is funny that the story my friend told me that he heard on a news site was that Someone broke into the capital building, shot up the place and injured a cop.

I do not have the link to that but it seems like they took parts of the story where.  Shots were fired (by the cops), Cop was injured (car impact), and people ushered into the building for safety.

Combined all of that to the story my friend told me of "someone broke into the capital building, shot up the place and inured a cop"

I wonder if this was the cop that was injured.

Yep that must be the one who was injured. He turned out to be just fine though from what I heard.

WTF kind of barriers were those?  they just pop up at the end of intersections?

So.. operating under the assumption that the reporting is correct, this makes me go "uhh.."

Police then killed the driver after she got out of her vehicle and tried to flee.

I can understand the lead donation if she was trying to flee with a car if she was going to run someone over, but fleeing on foot?

Was she making threatening gestures in the course of trying to flee?

I feel that they pretty much murdered her.  Don't hear other stories of car chases ending in shots being fired when the driver is unarmed AND a woman and not trying to run people down.  AND a child in the vehicle.  At least NBC said there was a child in the vehicle.

The cops were too lazy to chase down an overweight woman; besides, she was African American.....
