It had been a million years since I was on it, too. First time was just a way around the west side of the GSMNP. And I was in a van, not a Vette. And it wasn't the popular road it is now. You're right, though, it really is a MC road, not a car road. I did drive the entire BRP down and back up. I just hit some of the other roads while I was down there: Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiner 28, and Diamondback.
With the slow speed and the TN State Troopers running up and down the road there it's not the same, but I still had fun pulling through the corners when there wasn't some Harley in front of me. When I was there the Harleys were driving very slow and holding everyone up. I am a MC rider myself so I am careful not to get on a bike's ass too much, but come on!
The sport bikes are pretty small, nimble, and extremely quick and can pass slowpokes at one point or another.
