Carrying to a Veterans Administration Facility
« on: October 20, 2013, 10:09:03 AM »
Since the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor is a federal facility, is it unlawful to carry and store your firearm in your vehicle in the parking garage while taking care of personal business within the facility?

Is the parking garage federal property?

Not sure and not sure how to find out. They do charge for parking unless you show a veteran ID card. Not sure if that makes a difference. I haven't carried in my vehicle when I go there, but it sucks that I have to travel 25 miles highway, go past two prisons and if I have any other business else where in Ann Arbor or surrounding area I am unarmed. Not really cool. So usually I just try to make the trip and get back home before doing anything else.

Just ask.  "Hey, Is this federal property?  I've got a bunch of guns in the car and just wondered if that would be okay."   :P
