unfortunately the guy with the savage said he took it out to test fire as it hadnt been fired in 2-3 years and was his sons gun. he told me it kept jamming. i think im going to pass on the bob marley gun, i dont wanna be jammin! but the ruger is still set up for a friday FTF meeting for purchase

Is .22LR even available on the shelf yet? Last I heard that was still in short supply, even though larger calibers are becoming available.

yeah this one doesnt have the scope that came with it. it has a leupold. which is probably worth more than the gun itself lol

the one i am getting looks very much like that one, wood stock. not the crappy 4x15 .22 scope i could buy at walmart for $16

Not in my area.  I will sometimes come across some but it's typically out of stock the day it comes into the store.  They also jack the price up by double in some stores when they get them in.  I still have about 1,500 rounds of .22LR that I got lucky enough to snag one day.  I was able to buy a 525 round box, and a friend bought one for me as well, it was their last two boxes.  Then when I found some 9mm, they had 5 50 round boxes left of .22LR, they only let you buy 4, so the guy in front of me got 4 I got one.

That was about 3 months ago, I haven't seen more than a stray box here and there lately.  Dicks, and Dunhams are my local stores and I'm in a populated area so it's hard to find ammo still.

dunhams is retardedly high priced. by $10 on 100 rd boxes of .40 wwb. ive switched to scorpion reloads because of the gouging of prices when it comes to range FMJ ammo

I think dunhams overprices their stuff since you can get 10% off coupons. I think they overcharge at least 10% to make up for people sometimes having coupons. They even sell the bulk ammo packs for more per round than the normal ones.

Oh well there isnt any other choices over here for me. Except dicks and they never have anything other than .45

dicks at 23 and gratiot has a nice selection i get 9mm and .40 cant find .380 or .22 anywhere though...

tomorrow is the day! heading to imlay first to get the 10/22 assuming the guy still has it, he hasnt told me otherwise. then perry for the savage.

then to hunt down as much .22 as i can find. bad part is my truck is still broke at the shop while they track down parts so i have to buy a rental. last time i got a rental i got a 200 convertible with florida plates.  guns in a out of state car. fun times...

It's a bit out of my way but I could go up there one of these days.  I also have a 10/22 but I haven't messed with it yet.  Also have an AR an a Mosin m91/30, not sure if they would allow that to be fired there though.

Nice, do they allow military surplus ammo as well?  That would be worth the trip to get my mosin some lead time.

Not 100% on surplus ammo but i wouldnt see an issue if their range takes 50bmg as long as its a normal fmj which according to the geneva convention it should be fmj ammo. You could alsways call and speak to the range staff and see. Their number is 586-726-4730 they are really nice there

This is turning into a fun "show us" your 22 thread!    :)

Savage FSVR with Accu-Trigger, Threaded Barrel, Boyd's Thumbhole Stock, THUNDER BEAST 22L-1 Suppressor.  Showing it with the GemTech subsonic ammo.  Shooting it sounds like dry firing….. just the click of the firing pin dropping.   :)

I called them, no military surplus ammo, no steel case nor steel core ammo.

14. All shooters will sweep their areas or brass and place in designated bucket.

Does this mean they don't let you keep your brass?  Fits with them saying no steel case ammo.

i dont think they would have an issue as long as its 100% your brass. im going there tonight around 6-630 to sight in the 22's ill post a pic of the savage when i take it out of the sleeve. its pretty much a flawless, wood stock, savage 64 with a tasco scope

Cool.  I looked up their website.  Ask them about the brass for me haha.  As long as they let me keep my brass I would go up there one day and give it a try.  I also need to sight in my 10/22 since I just put a scope on it.

nope  26.25 inches with an 18inch barrel lol...

if michigan gets with the sbr program, about 4 inches are coming off that barrel ;)
