MARSHALL (AP) - Three people have been hurt in a hatchet attack at a Wal-Mart in East Texas and police arrested a transient on assault charges.

Marshall police Detective Sonya Johnson said Monday that Christopher Hamilton of Crawford, Ark., allegedly had the hatchet with him when entering the store. Two female workers and a male shopper were attacked early Sunday.

Innocent man murdered in his prime simply for shopping for a hatchet.  State to review all carry laws.

If Texas could open carry  & this loon saw someone doing so, he may have just went to the nearest movie theater or school.. :o

"It is now more likely that a person will be the victim of a violent crime than that he will be in an auto accident. Despite this, most people readily believe that the existence of the police relieves them of the responsibility to take full measures to protect themselves."

it would be different if you saw someone attacking people with a hatchet..... thats a deadly weapon and their life would have been in danger. it would be a clean shoot
