Idiot. Don't carry a gun and hang around people breaking the law, more importantly don't drink and carry!

They really need to add they confiscated the weapon "which was loaded"

Agreed, don't drink and carry.

However since he already violated that, he shouldn't have said anything about the firearm.  He got himself in trouble haha.

Know the laws of your state.  For example, in Indiana he would have had no problem.  Ohio or Michigan, yep.

Always amazes me that on one side of an imaginary line, something is legal, and 1 inch over the line, it's not...
Its not GUN rights, its HUMAN rights.

This ass clown needs a tack hammer to the head. You know OCing helps keep me in the straight and narrow path. Whether it's drinking, maintaining a calm attitude or just doing the right thing. Don't misunderstand that statement I am not a hooligan when not OCing I just pay more attention.  Trying to further our cause and display we are good people with guns. This is how guns will become the norm again.

State's rights, which most people think is a good idea.

Couldn't find the right words so...

"It is now more likely that a person will be the victim of a violent crime than that he will be in an auto accident. Despite this, most people readily believe that the existence of the police relieves them of the responsibility to take full measures to protect themselves."

Look on US-131 on the Indiana/Michigan Boarder (IN-side) (use Google Street view). The results may make you laugh.

Are you trolling us?  I don't see anything that stood out to me, what was I supposed to see?

Selling fireworks in NJ is a felony.  Even possessing sparklers can get you arrested.

Indiana (at least used to) allows you to drink and drive...   meaning you can drive around drinking a beer...  as long as your under the legal limit...  which, of course, you SHOULD be able to do...

Same thing should hold for carry...   if you can responsibly/legally drive a vehicle, you should be able to responsibly/legally keep your carry piece on you.  Not like you're going to have a "hey y'all watch this" moment when you're not drunk.  (most of us wouldn't REGARDLESS but I digresss)

Some people get stupid with alcohol, some don't (like me) but I don't know how they would write the law stating such a thing is ok for some people and not for others.  I can remain conflict free, happy and mature about things when intoxicated where having a firearm on me wouldn't pose any sort of threat to anyone or myself.  Others aren't that way though :(

I do agree though if you're under the legal limit for operating a vehicle it should be fine to have a firearm on you.

How about they pass a LAW saying YOU are responsible for your actions?
If you shoot someone for no good reason you go to prison.
Is that too simple?

I wish it were that simple.
