I watched the video yesterday.

My question is at what ranges does it have this effect?

I looked on their website and could not find information.

The water balloon one looked to be a foot away.

Can it still do this out to 25 feet?

Can it do this through a winter coat and heavy, thick winter clothing?

kinda ironic that The Blaze has an article this morning about this. Makes you wonder if they are keeping an eye on our forums due to the Deffert case.

Interesting point by the makers of the round is it designed to NOT penetrate grade 3 body armor. It is a point they repeat in a few sections. As it is I would not buy it, the data on performance is vague and that runs me off quicker then anything. That and way too much hype; even though I was born and raised in Michigan, I start getting a Missouri type attitude about things like that. -Michael

Cutting Through the G2 RIP Hype

No, they haven't tested it yet.  They can't get their hands on any, but they will.  In the meantime, you can read their thoughts and see whether you think the hype is real.

In short it is likely less effective than shooting a person several times with a .22

New Bullets Mean Certain Death!

People get shot a lot in America, and it isn’t always criminals doing the shooting. There are countless stories, stories every day, of people shooting themselves, their neighbors, their friends, and their children, by accident. They’re often “playing” with their guns. Or “cleaning” them when they go off accidentally. These are the law-abiding gun owners, the responsible ones. Sometimes these people are killed, and sometimes they’re just injured.

If people start using their bullets, pretty much every person who gets shot will die.

G2 Research’s “Radically Invasive Projectile” is a copper bullet that explodes when it hits a target (i.e., a human being) sending pieces screaming through vital organs and clearing a path for the bullet’s core to travel deeper through a person.

This multiplies the damage a bullet can do considerably, and is certain to turn what might otherwise be minor injuries into major ones, and major injuries into deaths.

There is something very sick and wrong with our gun culture in this country.  Soon they’ll be able to buy these bullets that tear people apart from the inside.

The deadlier we make our guns and our bullets, the more often those shootings will turn into irreversible tragedies.

There is literally no reason for these bullets to exist. Guns are deadly enough as it is.
