You sure about that? :D

I've seen faster. In person.
Easy enough to do while standing still.
I'd like to see him do the El Presidente Drill that fast and double tap all three targets twice each.
Hands in the air. Back to the targets. Turn. Fire six rounds, double tap three targets, reload, six rounds double tap three targets in less than 4 seconds. 100% hit.

Then I'd be impressed.

el presidente drill sounds fairly familiar. i recall a conversation about that in flint. isnt someone able to do that with their safariland ALS holster? i think it came up when re were talking about drawing from a retention holster and the whole retention segment.

Those look like fun competition targets!

You could play range poker....

Staple a deck of playing cards to a piece of cardboard and alternate shots.
Best 5 card hand wins.

Its a good looking setup but I think it needs more color to liven it up!   Maybe the snake should have some red eyes ..... or better yet, some Spartan Green Emeralds for eyes!   :D

The snake helped inspire me to add some color to my Detonics.  I had grayish VZ grips on the Detonics but moved them to the American Classic Commander.

Hey Glenn, here's some more grip panels for you!  They'll even make your own using your supplied image.

Lots more here: http://www.riograndecustomgrips.com/

I do have some new grips in my sights ..... but not much color on them........  Looking for more ivory with Colt Medalions......

Here is my full size American Classic Trophy with the hard chrome finish.  I put these grips on during March madness a couple of years ago and I left them on!  This is my usual OC in my Serpa when riding the Goldwing.

It looked like this in the Serpa when I was in better shape.  No, I didn't weigh any less but I had the strength to hold my gut in long enough for the photo!

And for the record the American classics are good shooters.  Way more accurate than I am.

Green pearl made from plastic .... not too expensive ....   I'm thinking about $45 but it was a few years ago so that might not be exact.

Glenn, found another grip that looks nice.  OEM single panels or wraparound.

They also have some nice bone grips. (Pic might not show up for you.  See link below).

Sorry Gryphon, those Delta grips just don't do it for me.  I guess we successfully hijacked this thread from shoulder holsters to a discussion on grips.  So, here is my no color grips.  Real ivory on my highly polished Colt Custom in 38 Super.   :D

I thought you might like the wraparound feature.  That is unique.

I have a new 1911.  I'm seriously thinking about buying a set of Really Old Bone grips.  In fact, I'm going to after I hit SEND here.

Nix that, I have to call to order as it is custom.  Not open at 1:00 AM.

Glenn, I just noticed...your LH panel has a relief cut in the top.  Did you do that yourself or did it come that way?  I need the same thing if grips don't come with it.  My factory grips are just cut off.

That cut out is for the ambidextrous safety.  Most places will allow you to order grips with it in for no charge - you just have to check the box or put it in the comments section .... some will have a modest adder.  I have added it myself on a couple of grips with a Dremel but its a whole lot easier to buy them with it.   :D

I'm talking about the pin/rod between the slide catch and the thumb safety.

Oh, LEFT panel!  I guess I should have raised my left hand before answering.   Doh!

No, I didn't do that ... the grips just came that way.  I need to check a couple of sets and compare them.  I believe that some have more of a cut out than others .. it  may have something to do with the thickness of the grips but I'm no expert.
