April 29th - Second Amendment March
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:51:13 PM »
Michigan Open Carry, Inc. is proud to announce, in conjunction with the Second Amendment March, Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners, Michigan Gun Owners,  and others a rally at the Capitol building to support the second amendment.

This rally is on a Tuesday (so we can speak to lawmakers who are in the building -- and not just an empty building), so please put in for your time off now (if needed).

Where: Michigan State Capitol
100 N Capitol Ave
Lansing, MI

When: Tuesday April 29, 2014
RSVP On Facebook

Rally Point for March (if you plan to walk in the actual march): Ceder St and Michigan Ave in Lansing, MI
Rally Time: By 9:40 AM
March/Processional Time: 9:45 AM (sharp)

Speakers and entertainment are TBA. The Michigan Legislature is in session that day. We'll be showing them the political strength of Michigan's legal gun owners.

Open and Concealed (with valid CPL) Carry are lawful in the State Capitol and State Legislative offices.

Michigan Open Carry, Inc. is looking for volunteers to help man our table  Interested persons should contact Adam Yancer (or reply to this email) at AYancer@miopencarry.org

Please RSVP On Facebook

We look forward to seeing you in April!

I don't think you have to be a registered fb user to RSVP, although I could be wrong.  And you don't HAVE to RSVP, just show up.  But I think Q wants to get an idea of participation.

We need to band together and resist FB as long as possible.

A friend of mine made a myspace page for me once.  I never looked at it because I didn't want it, but she made me one anyways.  Basically pretended to be me and made a page just so I had one.  Not sure what the point of it was.

I take it carry in the legislative chambers are not allowed even though they are within the state capitol?  Any stupid question is that one not asked.

Anyone actually tried to make an appointment to see their congress critters?   My Reps (Dillon) office either doesn't answer the phone or keeps giving me the run around.  My Senator (Hildenbrand) will be speaking at the event and his office told me it would be easier just to try to catch him after he was done speaking.

I would, except I don't know if the owners of the Company will be back in town. If I can and it is just 2 of us I could drive too. (company Van = free gas)

I wont know until 8 - 9 tonight whats going on though.

Can't make it, owners won't be back until late morning early afternoon. I think the bosses wife is doing this on purpose. She hates when i am happy (J/K). But she did ask that i quit carrying for a while a couple of months ago. I guess I scared the people I yell at every day.  :D

Back carrying on a regular basis though.
