shoulder holster vs drop leg for OC
« on: March 12, 2014, 11:09:15 AM »
Which one do you think would be better for open carry? Which one would likely cause more of a stir at the local grocery store?

A shoulder holster like this

Or a drop leg holster like this

I am not looking at getting another holster I own the two pictured.

Thanks

Since you own both, which one has created the largest stir for you?

And, the links don't work.

Drop legs tend to look more tactical/military/swat. So my opinion would be they would cause more of a stir, if any.

Thanks for that.

So what are your experiences causing a stir with each type?

With the Galco Miami Classic the straps, holster and mag pouch are all separate pieces.   You can buy a holster attachment for that rig that holds the gun muzzle down and I believe Raggs has that on his.

Well, can't say that's the case.

1. Haven't been deployed
2. The Army (unfortunately) utilizes the M9 only (at least outside of the spec ops community) as far as I know
3. In my unit, the commander is the only one authorized the M9.
