Probably. But this assumes that we have the whole story. I recommend withholding judgment until both sides of the story come out in court.

Remember the White-Mexican, who hunted down the poor little black boy and murdered him in cold blood? Yeah, me neither. But that's because I remember what came out in court, not the initial news release from the prosecution's side.

I agree with you 100% inicent until proven guilty.  But if he is guilty so be it and give him what he has coming.  This is the type of behavior that we do not need.

general rule of thumb i was told when taking my cpl class. keep it holstered and concealed until your life is in immediate danger. dont pull it out unless you are 100% sure you are going to use and kill the target.

 :yeahthat:

Shoot to stop, not shoot to kill. If the assailant has put you in a situation where the only reasonable means of stopping said assailant is employing a tactic that has a statistically significant probability of killing the assailant, then that is the fault of the assailant.

Another way of saying it is that you stop shooting when the attacker is no longer a threat, not when the attacker is dead, though there may be overlap in those definitions.

i was told by my CPL instructor to empty the whole mag into them. well 14+1 from a .40 ought to do the trick.....

also why i carry spare mags. never want to have to stand there after using a firearm in defense with no rounds left... what if they have friends who arent too happy you just shot their friend... they become a threat and you are left with a paperweight you might be able to throw and knock one out....nope i carry 3 14 round mags and 1 in chamber. 43 rounds total

You do what you feel is necessary, but I think that could very easily get you into trouble.

Sir, would you like to tell us why you shot the man 15 times?

- Because I wasn't carrying my extended mag today.
- Because I decided to carry my .40 today instead of my 9 which hold more rounds.
- Because I was tired after reloading.
- Because I don't carry a .45  :score:

well this is also the CPL instructor who told me i could ONLY carry concealed once i got my cpl.

he also said a carry gun must start with a .4 caliber, 40,44,45

im still wondering how hes certified to teach cpl lol.

with good shot placement shouldnt take more than 3-5 rounds to neutralize a threat

keep it holstered and concealed until your life is in immediate danger.

Would that still apply if someone was walking up towards you, you try talking to him, he says nothing with his hands in his pocket.  He is still walking.  You tell him, SIR please stop coming towards me, he keeps walking.  Your life could be in immediate danger.

People are too polite and could end up getting killed.  You let that guy get within 10 feet of you and it could be all over for you.

There is nothing wrong with a proper defensive display. It's doing so, and then not thoroughly understanding conflict psychology and communication techniques to deescalate it which can then make it get much worse very fast in a situation where violence could have been avoided.

I'm definitely a fan of double stack mags. The realities of stopping a killer do not reliably mix well with worrying about pinpoint accuracy over speed, and consequently thinking you need less ammo.

Read the MOC Newsletter, Issue No. 3.

Is there a way to access these via e-mail as sending them via post to the UK does not seem cost effective. -Michael
