The only thing I found on LEIN is that it can not be used for personal use or gain.  I am sure the officer in question, if he did use LEIN, would try to BS that he didn't use it for personal use or gain.  Although, I think if he didn't have a crime to investigate and RAS then it would not be official business and therefore it would be personal use... but what do I know.

Seeing how this plain clothes officer acted and the fact that he raised a gold badge I have to wonder if this was a security guard adn not a cop!

But none the less I thinkI I would have done the same thing!
