Gun Owner Illegally Cited For Crime

Note: this is NOT about LGOC.  This is a tale about the law and liberty.  Please consider leaving this thread up.

As this attorney notes, it's local district attorneys (prosecutors) and local police officers that you have to be aware of that are in the position to most likely erode your individual liberties.

Too many times where law enforcement breaks the law and infringes our rights.  Too many times.  Remember, ignorance of the law is not a defense, and these officers should be held to that same standard.

Agreed. That is a knife that should cut both ways.

LEOs should be the example and obey all the laws, cellphone use, seat belt laws, speed laws, etc.

At the very least, they should face suspension and re-training, up to fines, and loss of their job or even loss of their certification to be a police officer when they break the law when citing or arresting people.

Prosecutors and Judges should have the same strict standards and stop prosecutions when there is no point to them.

I wonder how much it cost him to defend a legal activity. This needs to stop.

Isn't this another case of "it's legal, just don't do it"?

And there is no reason for anybody to do something legal if someone else doesn't like it or think you should.

Next thing you know, we'll have kids flying Mexican flags at our schools.
