This should be moved to Legislative Lighthouse.  I haven't seen any notice here about it.

House Bill 4774  would require the registration of all rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders, and even pellet guns.

Sponsored only by Democrats in a Republican controlled House.  Referred to a committee with a 7-4 Republican majority.  But 19 Democrats can claim they supported legislation to.... blah blah blah.

DOA.

Yep, even the demanding moms with their 60+ person rally (actual number: about 24) couldn't get a hearing for the bill.

Phil and I sat in the primary co-sponsor's office a while ago and talked to him about the bill. No surprise, he doesn't know what he's talking about, and neither does the sponsor. Should the bill ever be heard, I'm confident we will tear the bill apart.
