I forgot to post this here. If you see it in time, I will be on the Justin Barclay show again at 9am this morning to talk about the NRA's recent comments about OC and their subsequent retraction.

Comments:

OCT needs to update their mission statement. Arkansas got OC apparently after their mission statement was written.  There currently are 45 states that allow some form of OC. Texas would be 46.

Re Chipotle, good info, I didn't know the entire story, that there was a larger group there and they had asked permission prior, and that that local Chipotle still supports them.

I posted here elsewhere that a friend of mine owns a handful of Sonic franchises in Kansas City, and they still support gun owners and allow both OC and CC in their stores, despite the corporate request to not carry.  She said franchise owners rarely agree with corporate on anything.

Yep, the more divided gun owners are about open carry the easier it is to demonize open carry for sure.  I tell people that stuff all the time.

By the way, forgot to mention, you did a great job, Tom!  You went pretty light on the NRA, but probably a good think in that setting.

I enjoyed listening to it as well, I wish it had gone on for another 5 minutes when you started talking about that report I would have enjoyed hearing the rest of what you had to say about it.

I decided to approach it in the same way we approach someone who isn't sure about OC. My hope was to help pull them in rather than push them away.

But yes, the NRA definitely deserved much more.
