Gun issues at bronson
« on: June 27, 2014, 06:38:50 PM »
Had to bring my kid here to the ER.

After i had to run to grab haer (she took off after mommey) the cop working for security came by and told me i had to take it home. they followed me to my truck and begun to call a tow truck to remove my truck. I had to drive away and park the truck on the road just to go be with my 2 year old.

all the while the man with a gun, telling me "i'm just doing the right thing"

How can a man have a gun, tell me that having a gun is wrong?

I get federal funding, but I am a private person. Should I be a federal agent because of the funding?

Private hospital sorry you have no right to bring your firearm on their property.
Anything I post may be my opinion and not the law... you are responsible to do your own verification.

Blackstone (1753-1765) maintains that "the law holds that it is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

A partner of mine works for a place that receives Federal Funds. Should the guy she buys a hotdog from be restricted because he's receiving Federal Funds?

Although to put the shoe on the other foot, if a university or other school receives any government funding whatsoever, they must abide by some government rules and regulations that purely private institutions do not.

For example, Hillsdale College takes zero government money, thus they can do what they want without extraneous government interference.  Others who take government money cannot.

Oddly enough, Hillsdale has the most liberal gun policy in the state amongst colleges. ;)

How terrible to have that tag of being liberal placed on a very conservative college!

Liberal meaning "permissive","liberty" -- not progressive. Liberal belonged to the libertarians long before the progressives took it. Go look up "Classical Liberal" on wiki.

OT: I have been to Bronson quite a few times lately, between myself and my son, and I always leave it in the vehicle in the lockbox. Doesn't mean the holster isn't still in place, although at those times it is under the untucked shirt. :(

Daughter works there too, and don't wish to make any trouble for her, just in case.
