Obama calls for background checks on retail gun purchases

This video is over an hour long, so I don't expect anyone to actually watch it, but this is from a town hall speaking engagement during his recent visit to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In it President Obama called for "some basic, common sense steps that are, by the way, supported by most responsible gun owners. Like having background checks so you can’t just walk into a store and buy a semi-automatic."

Apparently President Obama doesn't know that you have to go through a background check for every retail firearm purchase, and have had to do so since 1993.

Idiot.

I would watch what law he and his are pushing using this argument as I bet it will create a national registry. -Michael
