You could be charged with anything for any reason but the charge sticking is another thing.

There is an exemption for SD. Question to a jury would be: did you honestly and reasonably feel you were in danger of death or great bodily harm?

You may honestly feel that way. It may be up to a jury to decide if that belief was "reasonable".
