So, birdseed, to recap, more and more people are open carrying every year.  Yet, despite the growing popularity with open carry, almost all states are simultaneously passing pro-2A gun legislation every year.  They are strengthening and expanding 'stand your ground' laws, and they are slowly eliminating gun free zones.  Look at the newsletter, left hand column.  Just peruse down through the list of states that passed pro-2A legislation in the first half of 2014.  There's a lot.  Download and read the back issues of the newsletter and do the same thing.  See how much pro-2A legislation keeps getting passed each session.

Now, tell the anti-OC people to show you the states that are passing anti-2A legislation because of open carriers.

That is just another myth promulgated by anti-OC people.

Problem is, they wont listen to facts. What do you say when they wont accept facts?

Murdock vs Pennsylvania 319 us 105
Shuttleworth vs city of birmingham, alabama 317 us 262
miranda vs airizona 384 us 436

seems to me they could just sue the state. telling someone they can not have a gun without a license is wrong. its been established many times.
Back to posting irrelevant comments in random threads again, I see.

You evidently didn't learn anything from your last time out.

You want another one? A little longer this time? I'm sure it can be arranged.

Unfortunately the SCOTUS has yet to agree with you.  While they have ruled on possession and keeping of guns inside the home, they refuse to rule on carry outside the home, and in fact have stated that reasonable restrictions are not unconstitutional.

Nothing.  Stop arguing with them.  You can't make a horse drink.

Take my advice. I'm not using it.

I see where he's coming from (except for Miranda which doesn't involve a permit or license).  You shouldn't need a permit or license to exercise your rights.  He's just not explaining it very well.

Birdseed, read my comment about the SCOTUS above.

Oh, since you put it that way, I concur.

Who could just sue the state?

1) You can obtain a firearm without a license in Michigan. It may not be the type you want, but that won't make a difference to the court.

2) Unless you have a license denied to stifle the expression of your idea, then your second case is irrelevant.

3) What the heck does Miranda have to do with anything in this thread?

I will fill the void.

HEY GUYS, my CPL instructor told me to only load 3 rounds into my magazine or else I will damage the CLIPS spring, I'm also going to open carry my Katana barefoot into Target.  Also, what's a good open carry ankle holster?

$17 for a gun belt?

I've seen some Bianchis on the net for less than $30.
Don't know if they're meant to hold up pants or a gun, but have been meaning to buy one and see.
Wouldn't take much for a leather belt to be worth that kind of money even if it won't support 3lb.
