I didn't see anything wrong, other than the guy waving a gun towards all of the audience.

Well maybe not actually waving. But it definitely wasn't being directed down range.

Hey Brad, did you put information in the "bad CPL class" post I referenced you to yesterday? Even though you say the instructor has learned and will change, does not mean he will. If you put the info at least someone who uses him next will have an idea of what they may expect.

Just a suggestion by a MOC member.

his thumb is resting on a moving part of the slide. moving parts and fingers dont get along well. with the hipoint the slide is massive, wraps around the frame, and the whole thing moves back. hes going to work on his gripping of his firearm

i told him work on thumbs forward grip

His instructor should have taught him proper grip as part of the course.

he did go over proper grip. he showed us thumbs forward with shoulder width apart feet, i prefer the "weaver stance" with one foot slightly more forward leaned in

also his grip has space on it. like hes not holding the gun tight in the web of his hand between thumb and index finger.

why have 120 different kinds of bullet weight and load packing?

what i ahve works, and i can shoot well and accurate with it while still having that extra 1 mm over the 9mm :) that may be the difference between missing a vital organ and hitting it

that 1mm COULD give the extra artery nick that's for sure.  Maybe the bastard will bleed out as he runs away with your wallet because of that extra 1mm. And if you shoot him 10 times, that's like.....a whole extra free bullet over the 9mm lol.

What finger was he pulling the trigger with?
Had a hard time seeing it- but it looked like the trigger finger was awful high on the slide as well.

being a hi point and its design you have to really keep your hands free of the moving slide. its awkward. i dont like them much. my woman loves hers though...ill stick to my SD and M&P's

That only applies for round nose ammo.  For hollow points with sharp petals that spread out, it's a lot larger.
