Gryphon originally posted the story and there was a lot of discussion about it then.

I remember thinking Ares was going to wipe the floor with the BATFE on every issue but the indexing issue. I was worried about that one.

In the link, Ares points to a case that invalidates the indexing issue. I think the BATFE is likely screwed now.

Speaking of indexing, wasn't there a quality control issue such that if you drilled the holes with a proper jig the holes weren't on the index marks, and if you drilled to the indices without a jig, the lower wouldn't assemble properly?
