More Romulus cops out the door
« on: October 11, 2014, 03:32:42 PM »
Three more Romulus cops plead no contest to corruption and have lost their LEO certification.  Sentencing will be Oct. 29.

The former Romulus chief of police has already plead guilty to embezzlement and running a criminal enterprise.  He is scheduled to be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison on Oct. 17.  His wife has already been sentenced to 7-20 years in prison.

Two other Romulus cops have also been found guilty of related charges, hiring prostitutes from strip clubs and fabricating expenses for which they were later reimbursed.  In one year alone, the officers were accused of spending $40,000 in forfeiture funds on prostitutes, marijuana and alcohol.

Since it's been mostly twisted into a "War on Civil Rights", why don't we just repeal the Reagan era "War on Drugs" laws, starting with the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984?

If we didn't have cops running around seizing cash from practically anybody, we wouldn't have to worry about cops wasting the seized cash on hookers.
