Papa John's employee dies after being shot during robbery
« on: October 22, 2014, 09:37:29 PM »
The guy complied with the robbers and they still shot him dead.  But look at what the police said: "Mr. Gordon did everything he was supposed to do, he complied to everything."  Is that really the answer in every situation, to always comply with the bad guys?  By definition they are bad guys.

If you work for Domino's or Pizza Hut, aiding and abetting armed robbery to the best of your ability is part of the job description.
Resistance is a firing offense.

Not sure if:
That's Papa John's policy.
Papa John's owns the store where this happened or it's a franchise.

The thing to remember is that armed robbers are the most dangerous criminals, next to serial killers.
When somebody decides to engage in armed robbery, he's already decided that he's OK with killing you to get what you have. He might not intend to kill you, but he will if he thinks it furthers his career choice.

Why doesn't the family of the departed sue the business for not providing a safe work environment?  Or the ability to defend one self?  We all have a right to life, liberty.
