I just pulled the latest stats from the ATF website. I know suppressors are becoming increasingly popular.

The less the dollar is worth, the less scary a $200 tax is.
Can you imagine paying a $200 tax on a $40 Thompson, when responsible adults worked for 25 cents an hour?

eFile and trusts have increased the quantity of NFA items. Many states have legalized suppressor use in hunting. Other states have passed "shall certify" legislation to force CLEOs to sign forms. All these have contributed to the NFA upticks.
